Who wants to win director Yann Demange’s excellent feature film debut ’71 on DVD? Of course you all do. To enter the competition retweet or like/share on Twitter or Facebook. We have three copies to give away so everyone’s in with a good chance.

We reviewed ’71 when it graced the lovely line up of films at the London Film Festival last year and it is out to own next week.

British soldier Gary (Jack O’Connell) is abandoned by his unit during a riot in Belfast, at the city’s most turbulent, troubled time. After witnessing the death of a fellow officer, our reserved protagonist is forced into a gruelling bomb-ravaged battle and must overcome odds in attempt to reach his unit. While taking refuge with some friendly locals, Gary uncovers rogue militia corruption and becomes the target of conflicted IRA groups operating in the area. Continue reading review of ’71

2015’s winner of the EE Rising Star Award, Jack O’Connell (Starred Up, Skins, Unbroken) leads a superb cast including Sean Harris (Macbeth, Deliver us from Evil), Killian Scott (Calvary, Good Vibrations), Richard Dormer (Game of Thrones), Paul Anderson (Peaky Blinders, The Sweeney), Martin McCann (X Plus Y, Killing Bono) and Charlie Murphy. Based on a screen play by acclaimed writer Gregory Burke (Black Watch).
