Horror Channel, FrightFest and Movie Mogul have teamed up again, with new partner Wildseed Studios to run once more, with feeling their Shortcuts To Hell competition. The winning entrant will have their movie made by Movie Mogul and Wildseed Studios ‘with a minimum cash production fund of £20,000′. Not too shabby. The movie will also receive UK digital distribution, a world premiere at Film4 FrightFest, in 2015, and shown for the first time anywhere on television via Horror Channel. Needless to say, this sounds like a pretty darn fantastic competition and route into the film industry for the winner.
Here’s the skinny on what you need to do to enter Shortcuts To Hell II:
“All entries will need to submit a 3-minute short film version of their full-length horror movie idea and their submission must clearly demonstrate the core idea, premise, story and characters in narrative form. A shortlist of twenty-six finalists will then be invited to an interview where they will have the opportunity to pitch their feature film directly to the jury panel.”
The chosen ones – twenty-six will be whittled down to a final three – will have their promo reel played at FrightFest in August. The three films will be screening in Horror Channel over August and September and the winner chosen by public vote.
Entrants to Shortcuts To Hell II will have ten weeks to finish their promo and upload it to YouTube. You can submit the Youtube link to: [email protected] by 6pm on 22nd July. All Terms & Conditions can be downloaded at www.shortcutstohell.com.
Chris Sharp, Chief Operating Officer for CBS Chello Zone Channels said today:

Horror Channel is always hungry for fresh blood and remains dedicated to the horror genre offering inspiration to young filmmakers and entertaining horror aficionados across the UK.”
