To celebrate the release of Seance: The Summoning on DVD this week we’re offering one lucky winner the chance to scoop a free copy of this truly spooky horror flick.
From the producers of Heathers and Hellraiser, Seance: The Summoning is the story of an amateur medium attempting to prove herself as a real link between the worlds. Consequently, she and a handfull of other college students break into the city morgue and video themselves holding a seance. When the kids summon a demon by mistake, they have to find a way to drive the demon out of their friend before it destroys them all.

Future theme idea – Scandinavian cinema
more scottish film content
Japanese & Korean horror – to encourage people to watch originals rather than Hollywood remakes
kung fu speacial
Blu ray in depth look films
What about focusing on the films of a single actor or director e.g. John Carpenter or Christopher Walken (my favourites)
Something on the art of documentary film making, there are some brilliant works out there! Truth is stranger than fiction and all that.
how about videos featuring animals as the stars such as rin tin tin or lassie
original old time horror films
Coming from Ealing myself I’d like a feature on the Ealing Studios (still in use today) and about the wonderful films made there in the 40′s and 50′s.
Hi Sandra, thanks for the feedback. We actually already ran that as a feature in issue 3. It was fantastic finding out all the history about such a long running studio!
more sci fi horror films
I think a future issue comparing films of the past with films of the present. All films today use special effects, cgi etc… And I believe some films from the past have managed to do a far greater job with what they had at that time!
My favorite theme is Sci-Fi movies, especially more recent films such as Avatar and Prometheus.
Clint Eastwood retrospective
remakes of old classics
I would like to see a theme of the classic actors like James stewart, Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn etc. x
I would like to read:-
(and view, if TV and/or Cinema would provide this – Particularly as a Tribute to an excellent actor/actress/partnership etc).
E.G. Bette Davis, Julie Walters, Judi Dench, June Allyson, Mel Gibson, Clark Gable, James Stewart, Boris Karloff ,etc, etc.
Information given chronologically – including whole portfolio of work/ career i.e. films; TV programmes; adverts etc.
As I believe it would allow viewers to see development/ growth/ opportunities/ versatility etc.
I would like to see people’s views on the best horror films, this could be from celebrities/critics etc.
Also like my sister for example, she’s starting to want to watch scary films and never knows which ones to watch that’ll ease her into them or which ones are the best for example, best story line, best gore, best jumpy film etc so I think that’ll be good for readers to see for example the best rated horror films to see thanks
Looks really scarey hope I get a chance to see it
Cowboy and Indians
how about harryhausen films
What about sequels? Better than worse than, and then next issue the desparate to cash in prequals
Ultimate Road Movies
I’m a huge horror film, so I’d like to see something on that. Perhaps a comparision between the “classic” generation of the 80s and today’s offerings which, although generally benefitting from better production and acting, tend to be remakes of old or Japanese movies. How about a focus on people trying to make original horror movies today?
Space Theme
What happened next? How certain movies eg. Star Wars have lived on and developed once the cameras stopped rolling in comics/novels/cartoons etc. – how the stories continued in new media – plus sequel scripts that never quite made the cut. Also, what became of our best loved characters? eg. Did E.T. face court martial for blowing the aliens cover?
classic monster b movies from the fifties and sixties
A future theme could be films made in a specific location – e.g Edinburgh where some great films have been made.
Classic horrors
Mike Leigh. ‘Nuff said.
How about “The first film I ever saw”
Mine was Brig o’ Doon!
Sc-Fi
Classic Drama – like Bette Davis movies
vintage banned horror
60′s B Movies would be cool!
Hammer Horror
Everything Back to the Future
Retro theme!
Futuristic!
The scariest horror films ever or the most rubbish horror films ever made
british thriller special
films with special effects by Ray Harryhausen. They may not have been realistic but they were fun.
A special on the fantastic Hammer Horror series
More classic British movies.
Korean films, my private indulgence, never seen a bad one!
Horror film
Vintage movie stars biographies
FORGOTTEN CLASSICS… LIKE THE FOG, NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST, HALLOWEEN, AND OTHER FILMS FROM THE 70S, 80S, ETC THAT MOST YOUNG UNS AINT SEEN.
I would love to see all the original films shown here which were later remade
More Gory Horror!
timeless classics such as Casablanca, or perhaps classics where there is a modern sequel
